About the site

Cerámica Del Valle is a family pottery workshop and shop in Santa Ana, a town with a long history of pottery. They make handmade pieces for homes, restaurants and gardens, and visitors can paint a cup or learn the craft properly. The site covers the shop, the workshop and the history behind them.

How I help

This was my first web development project. I was studying at UWC Costa Rica in Santa Ana, and I talked with the owner about how I could support his business.

I designed and coded the whole site from scratch, and my friends and I took the photos in the store. It’s in Spanish and English so it reaches locals as well as tourists looking for handmade ceramics.

I still look after the hosting and the domain, both the admin and the cost. In exchange, the owner gave me a few ceramics lessons.
